Paine Lake founder Robert Philips served with Hilton Guam as its Director of Business Development for the 646-room resort, guiding all sales, marketing and revenue activities. The work included being trained in Hilton’s Revenue Management system and
supervising all distribution channels.
During Philips' tenure, he led a talented team to grow annual revenue from US$29 to US$44 million per year, and annual Net Operating Income to the hotel Owner (PHR Ken Micronesia) by 110%. Clients included the U.S. Navy,
Northrup Grumman, JTB, Korean Air, L'Oreal
and Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron.
A New Brand for Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts
Paine Lake founder Robert Philips was Director of Sales & Marketing for Cassia Phuket, the inaugural property of
Banyan Tree's newest brand.
Previously known for elegant, spiritual luxury resorts and spas, Banyan Tree decided to pivot and build their first Cassia, a vivid new hospitality concept for a new generation.
"Be Cool with Cassia" became the new mantra, as the 229-room hotel-apartment opened on the water in Thailand.

hospitality assets in Japan and Thailand.
